Querido Mudei a Casa – Living room project

In this project from “Querido, Mudei a Casa”, a Portuguese television programme, the living room was reimagined to reflect a balance between lightness, comfort and identity. Creating a bright environment, with depth and an emotional connection, was the starting point for an approach in which wood takes centre stage.

The choice of the Innovus Lyon Walnut (M4462) decorative was key to giving character to the project. As interior designer Ana Antunes explains, “I wanted a very bright, very light environment, but I also wanted wood to be the main reference of the space.” This balance is achieved through a walnut tone that adds elegance, naturalness and an immediate sense of warmth. 

A decorative solution that transforms and unifies the space 

Applied to bespoke furniture — the bookshelf, TV unit and dining room sideboard — Lyon Walnut (M4462) acts as a unifying element, connecting all the pieces within the space. Its natural and sophisticated appearance stands out against the light surfaces, creating contrast without heaviness and ensuring a harmonious visual reading. 

Ana Antunes reinforces this intention by noting that “walnut is a noble wood”, capable of standing out without overpowering the space. More than a purely aesthetic choice, the decorative becomes part of the space’s narrative, contributing to a balanced and timeless result.
