In 2050, the Earth's population will reach 9.7 billion, according to an estimate by the United Nations. This growth will require an increase in the pace of construction both inside and outside cities, a challenge involving a rapid shift in the selection of construction materials, which will be key to guaranteeing the future of the planet.
In the very short term, European laws will become more demanding, for example, requiring all new buildings to have an energy balance of almost zero concerning their CO2 emissions.

Construction
The AGEPAN® SYSTEM is the integrated system of sustainable wood solutions for construction at Sonae Arauco and is available with FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) (FSC-C009049) and PEFC (Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes) certification.
Its portfolio includes insulating fibre boards, DWD boards and OSB ECOBOARD products of high quality, functionality and technical performance for use on roofs, walls, floors and ceilings.

The AGEPAN® SYSTEM solutions have a positive impact in economic terms since the construction period is faster. The economic advantages are also reflected in the technical performance of AGEPAN® SYSTEM solutions which, even with thin walls, offer high levels of insulation and lasting performance. At the end of their useful life, these solutions can be recycled and transformed into new products, integrating a continuous recycling cycle.

Furniture and Interior Design
Wood-based panels are the basis for everything Sonae Arauco does and are the most flexible, sustainable and functional alternative to solid wood. More efficient use of resources and greater dimensional flexibility make it possible to create solutions adapted to people's needs.
