Innovus® decorative panels (DP) combine the high quality of our particleboard (PB) or medium density fiberboard (MDF) with impregnated decorative paper. When paired with our optical and tactile surfaces, they provide the most realistic and natural look and feel.
Innovus® decorative panels meet all the regulatory requirements of EN 14322 and comply with the lowest formaldehyde emissions requirements.
Suitable for indoor use and easy to clean, Innovus® DP boards have antibacterial properties and are stain and scratch resistant. Additional performance features can be added, such as improved fire resistance (FR) or moisture resistance (MR).

Decorative particleboard is an engineered wood panel made by bonding a particleboard core with a decorative, resin-impregnated paper surface under heat and pressure. This process creates a durable and easy-to-maintain surface that can authentically replicate wood, stone, or solid colour designs. Innovus® Decorative Panels combine the technical performance of high-quality particleboard with an attractive and long-lasting decorative finish.

Resource-efficient material composition: Depending on the product range, Innovus® DP contains 60 to 80% recycled wood. The virgin wood used comes exclusively from controlled sources and is processed within a circular manufacturing approach.
Decorative particleboard and MDF panels are not inherently waterproof. Standard products such as Innovus® DP are designed for non-structural interior applications in dry conditions and should only be used within their specified performance limits.
For applications in environments with elevated humidity, Sonae Arauco offers dedicated moisture-resistant solutions: Innovus® DP Hydro X on a particleboard core and Innovus® DP MDF Hydro X on an MDF core. These decorative wood-based panels have been specifically developed for interior areas exposed to high levels of humidity.

In summary: Standard decorative particleboard and decorative MDF panels are intended for dry interior environments. For humid areas, Sonae Arauco recommends the moisture-resistant Innovus® DP Hydro X and Innovus® DP MDF Hydro X product ranges.
To preserve the long-term quality of Innovus® DP Decorative Particleboard (DP) including DP MDF products, they should be stored in a dry, covered environment, protected from direct contact with water, and stacked on a flat, stable surface.
As wood-based materials naturally react to changes in humidity and temperature, their inherent expansion and shrinkage behaviour should be taken into account during storage, processing, and installation. Proper handling and storage help maintain appearance, dimensional stability, and performance throughout the product's service life.
At the end of their service life, Decorative Particleboard (DP) and DP MDF panels should be collected and processed in accordance with local waste management and recycling regulations. Wood-based panels are valuable secondary raw materials and, within a circular economy, can be used in the manufacture of new wood-based products, provided they meet the applicable acceptance criteria.
Depending on the product range, Innovus® DP is based on wood-based materials with a high proportion of recycled wood, supporting the multiple use of wood resources across different life cycles.
Decorative wood-based panels and other products from the Innovus® Collection are available through a wide network of authorized distributors and timber merchants. Sonae Arauco does not sell products directly to end customers but works with specialized distribution partners.

Many timber merchants and processing companies offer custom-cut decorative particleboard, particleboard cut-to-size services, and individual processing options for Innovus® DP decorative panels and decorative MDF panels. Available services may vary by supplier and can include cutting, edging, or the preparation of project-specific quantities.
Sonae Arauco does not provide a direct cut-to-size service. However, you can use the distributor locator to find specialist suppliers in your area that offer Innovus® products and often provide cutting and processing services.
To support the selection, planning, and implementation of projects with Innovus® DP, Sonae Arauco offers a range of digital tools and services.
