The year 2016 saw the conclusion of a strategic partnership between Sonae Indústria and the Chilean group Arauco. Under this partnership, the Arauco Group has acquired 50 percent of the business shares of Glunz AG’s parent company: Sonae Arauco S.A., Madrid. The other half of the company shares are held by Sonae Indústria, SGPS S.A. “Sonae Arauco” was officially presented to the public at Interzum 2017. The transformation from Glunz AG into Sonae Arauco GmbH occurred at the end of that year. This partnership is accompanied by fast-moving innovation. New products include the prize-winning surface finishes Innovus Stucco and Fusion.
