Sonae Arauco will sponsor the 2nd edition of Portuguese Makers Craft Week, the event that will bring together makers from all over the world, intending to internationally promote brands and production units of Oporto.

At Serralves Foundation, between September 3rd to 8th, some of the most prestigious designers worldwide will explore different objects through a series of informal classes and workshops. Different Portuguese materials and production techniques will be the attraction of this edition that is presenting a diversified program.

In order to promote the creative and innovative spirit of this initiative, Sonae Arauco has made available its Innovus Coloured MDF collection for worktops, in Black, Sand Grey and Grey references. These decorative are unique in their organic appearance and the brightness of their colours. The use of selected pigments ensures the colour of the panel will not fade with sun exposure.

Sonae Arauco is sponsoring this event to support both national and international architecture. In line with the objective of the brand, Ana Bruto da Costa, co-founder of Portuguese Makers, states "this initiative intends to show the world the ability Portuguese have in creating utilitarian objects", which meets one of the characteristics that make Sonae Arauco solutions so unique: versatility. Because of their innovative features, the brand's products allow multiple application possibilities for creating unique and disruptive projects.

Last year, Portuguese Makers Craft Week had more than 140 attendees and participants from 14 nationalities throughout the whole week of the event, numbers that should be achived this year.
