Sonae Arauco sponsors innovative student project of the University of Art and Design Halle.

While dividing is often viewed negatively, as an infringement of space, a dividing line can also be seen as an act of sharing, as a social activity that brings people together.

A student project at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle focusses on this very topic: The nature of room division represented by a series of behaviour patterns, which take the form of objects.

Sonae Arauco regularly supports young talent and recently donated material for the project “Raum Teilen” (Sharing Spaces). The created objects, constructed with Innovus Coloured MDF, are embedded in a wall panel as individual stations. This allows a comparison that highlights the distinct character of each intervention. A sequence that establishes connections and a dramatic spatial composition that culminates in a meeting point. The exhibition aims to trigger actions and experiences through optic and haptic senses. The partitions were built not just to divide spaces but also to promote encounters and communication.

The project has already been showcased in several exhibitions. Sonae Arauco is delighted to see Innovus Coloured MDF used in this unusual but very practical manner.
