Sonae Arauco is sending a clear signal for the future of its plant in Beeskow: the company is investing around six million euros in a new MDF sanding line to further improve product quality and secure production capacities for the future. Work on the new equipment has already begun.

This strategic investment reflects the company's strong confidence in the long-term potential of the site and in the local team. Operations are scheduled to start in August.

The Beeskow plant of the wood-based panels company Sonae Arauco is writing a new chapter in industrial history: the new MDF sanding line not only increases the site's output – it also makes it fit for the future. Customers will benefit from the new technology, which guarantees even more precise processing and ensures more efficient workflows.

“Investments in times like these are a clear commitment to the location,” explains Robert Rösner, Plant Manager of Sonae Arauco in Beeskow.
“We are investing strategically and focussing on continuous improvements and technological innovations. That is why we are taking the next step to fulfil their requirements in the best possible way and strengthen our market position at the same time.”

Comprehensive site investments: The new MDF sanding line is part of a comprehensive investment programme. In recent years, Sonae Arauco has consistently invested in further developing production processes and introducing modern technologies at its sites.

One of the most recent examples in Beeskow was the construction of a state-of-the-art chipboard production line. The company invested over 50 million euros in the new plant, which has been in operation since 2020.

Assembly of the new MDF sanding line will begin in mid-July. It is expected to support production from August 2025 and will contribute to even more efficient, high-quality production.
